This beautiful park is conveniently located 40 minutes from Downtown Vicotira, and features both day-use and camping facilities. The warm waters of the inlet meet the land with a 225m (738ft) long sandy beach, and hiking, boating and windsurfing are all popular activities in the Summer.
Dubbed the recreation corridor to Duncan, this popular park offers access to almost any outdoor activity possible, including swimming, canoeing, white-water kayaking, tubing, camping, fishing, hiking and sunbathing. The adjacent abandoned rail line provides ideal condition for a horseback riding, hiking and biking trail, and the park also features the Cowichan River Footpath, a 20km scenic hiking trail. The park is located between Duncan and Cowichan Lake.
Shouldering the Chemainus River, this provincial park is a favourite for locals who picnic along the riverbank or float in the swimming holes and pools in the river. Fishing, bike riding and horseback riding are also permitted.
